Imagination

A distinct lack of imagination has been noted in traumatized individuals. When they are compulsively and constantly pulled into the past, they cannot imagine any other future.
Imagination, however, is essential to our quality of life. It inspires our creativity, relieves our boredom, eases our pain, enhances our pleasure, and enriches our most intimate relationships. Without it, there is no hope, no chance to imagine a better future, no place to go, no goal to reach.
