Intuitions are Used as Evidence in Philosophy

Do intuitions function as evidence in philosophy? This question has generated a flurry of recent metaphilosophical work. In this paper I will argue that on one significant reading of the question, the answer to it is yes. To set the stage for that answer, though, we must first clarify what we mean by ‘intuitions’ and ‘evidence’, and whether the question concerns how philosophy is actually done or how it should be done.https://academic.oup.com/mind/article/doi/10.1093/mind/fzw032/3800471/Intuitions-are-Used-as-Evidence-in-Philosophy
