Alienated grandparents: family breakups forgotten victims

It was an eye opener for me recently attending a meeting of the newly-formed Burlington/Hamilton Alienated Grandparents Anonymous (AGA) group.

When I was growing up divorce was rare; in fact I remember only one of my friends’ growing up in a single parent home and at the time, it seemed like such an oddity.

Gradually over the years, I started to read about soaring divorce rates, but it really only became evident to me when my own kids started school some 20 years ago
